How to Unlock Shirlock and Michelle in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope for PS4 and Switch
The new marriageable characters pack of Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition DLC has been released on June 19th, 2018. Now you have Shirlock and Michelle as new additional marriage candidates on the PS4 and Switch.
But recently a few players having trouble getting the DLC characters. Most of them didn't know where to find Shirlock and Michelle, even though they have bought the DLC (Downloadable Content).

On the Switch
If you're on the Nintendo Switch follow these steps below:
- You have to buy the DLC "New Marriageable Characters Pack" for $5.99 or the Season Pass for the full DLC for $9.99.
- Save and then close the game
- Press the Plus button and choose Software Update.

- Go to the Nintendo eShop
- Search for Harvest Moon: Light of Hope DLC
- Just hit the update button there.
On the PS4
If you're on the PlayStation 4 follow these steps below:
- You have to buy the DLC.
- Go to the PlayStation Store
- Search for Harvest Moon: Light of Hope DLC
- Look at the status of them to see if it says downloaded or not.

How to Find Shirlock and Michelle
Here are the important things to trigger the event to make them come to the island:
- You must be in at least Chapter 3 (Already place 3 Stone Tablets) for Michelle and Shirlock to appear in the Town.
- Doc has at least 1 musical note.
- You have to repair all the buildings in the Mountain area, including the Hot Springs, and use it for the first time to get the cutscene for Michelle.
- You will get the cutscene for Shirlock in the Beacon Town Plaza, while Michelle in the Mountain area.
