Before entering the tutorial, first, you have to know this refund feature so the explanation can be easier to understand.

The refund action is used when we want to request back the money or funds we have used to buy an app on Google Play, such as Android games.

Many reasons cause users to request a refund, but the biggest problem is that they are not satisfied with the product that has been purchased.

Actually, many refund methods are offered by Google Play, of course, this method is different from one another. For example, the Music refund method must be different from the App or Game.

In this article, I will only explain the refund of the apps, games, and in-app purchases.

Google Play also gives a time limit to its users to do a refund. Six years ago, Google used to only give the user time to get a full refund 15 minutes after purchases you made.

However, the refund time limit has been extended up to 2 hours, and now it's become 48 hours.

This easiest and quickest way is only applicable if the refund request was made 2 hours after purchases. If you have experienced this problem and want to refund, just follow the steps below.

Step 1. Open the Play Store App.

Step 2. Find the name of the app or game you want to refund, then click the refund button (located on the left 'install'). You can also do this through the My Account menu.

Step 3. A confirmation will appear that you are sure or not to do the refund. If you are sure, then select "Yes", then the installed app (if it is already installed) will be uninstalled.

How to get a refund on Google Play within 48 hours

If you want to ask Google Play for a refund, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory. Open it on the web via Chrome, not from the app.

Step 2. Scroll down until you find the App in 'Order History' and select the item you want to refund.

Step 3. Click the dot (more) to the right of 'Order History'. You may swipe your screen to the right to find this on your phone.

Step 4. Select request a refund or report a problem and choose one that describes your situation.

Step 5. Complete the form and don't forget to note that you would like to refund.

You will get an email about your refund decision. It will take up to 2 days of business.

The money or funds will return in the same form and amount depending on how you paid.

What does it mean in the same form?

For example, if you bought an app or game with the pulse (Carrier Billing), then it will return in the form of a pulse.

Similarly, if you buy an app or game with Google Play Balance, then it will return in the form of Google Play Balance.

The length of the refund process depends on the payment method you used at the beginning. If you use a credit card or Google Play balance, it's usually faster.

How to get a refund on Google Play after 48 hours

You can actually ask for a refund after more than 48 hours on Google Play, but this refund request is not as easy as a refund 2 hours after purchases.

Mostly, this problem happens if you make in-app purchases.

It's hard to get a refund but it's not impossible. Here's how:

1. First of all, you should contact the Developer.

2. To contact the Developer, you can see their email from the details of the apps or games they developed.

3. You have to send a message and give a detailed explanation of why you asked for a refund. This is not easy because the success of this refund depends on the Developer's decision and the reason you are asking for a refund.

If you want to get a refund, the reason should be really good and acceptable.

Note: Refund can only be done once if you want to refund the same product for a second time, it will not work.
