Easiest Way to Get A Lot of Cosmos in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope

If you want to upgrade tools and make your farming life easier in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope (LoH), you’ll need a material called Cosmos.

But what is Cosmos? And how do you get it in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope?

Sunflower, White Rose, and Blue Rose are obviously the names of flowers. But Cosmos? That could mean anything, right?

Those were some of the questions that popped into my head the first time I played Harvest Moon: Light of Hope.

After doing some searching, I couldn’t help but laugh at myself — turns out, Cosmos is also a type of flower you can plant in HM: LoH.

I seriously thought Cosmos was some kind of rare ore, a mineral, or maybe even a special item from a meteorite — like something that crashes from outer space during special events!

I don’t know... maybe my expectations (and imagination) were a bit too much. 😂 What did you think Cosmos was when you first played?

If you're a flower enthusiast, you probably recognized the name right away. But for me? My brain went everywhere — except the simplest answer: it’s just a flower.

To be fair, that was my first time playing a Harvest Moon game where flowers were required for tool upgrades. Usually, it’s ores from the mines!

How to Get Cosmos in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope

It’s actually pretty simple! The fastest way to get a lot of Cosmos is by buying plenty of Cosmos Seeds from Carol’s Florist Shop, then planting them on your farm — right in front of your house works just fine.

But here's the catch: You can only buy Cosmos Seeds after meeting a few conditions:

• Become good friends with Carol — at least 1½ pink music notes.
• Successfully place the 3rd Stone Tablet.
• Light up the third window of the Lighthouse.

Some seeds won’t be available at the start of the game. You need to progress through the story to unlock them.

To do that, make sure to talk to villagers, give them gifts, help them out, and build friendships. This will help bring more people to the island and give you clues to find the Stone Tablets and restore the Lighthouse.

Cosmos flowers also grow in the wild during the Fall season. You can find them in the mountain, lighthouse, and beach areas. Once harvested, they’ll regrow in about 5 days, so be sure to check back regularly!
