The fishing rod (or fishing pole) is a tool used in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope (LoH).

It is used to catch fish and obtain the third tablet, which helps you find the Harvest Sprite Dewy and progress in the main storyline.

How to Get a Fishing Rod

The first thing to know is that an aristocrat named Cyril will give you the fishing rod.

Before that, make sure you’ve gotten a hammer and gathered the materials needed to repair damaged structures and buildings.

The Buildings That You Need to Repair

Prioritize repairing Cyril’s house and Doc’s architects.

Required materials: Material Stone 10x, Iron 3x, Glass 2x
Cost: 1000G

Cyril's House
Required materials: Softwood Lumber 15x, Stone 5x, Tulip 3x
Cost: 1500G

Tip: Collect tulips by foraging or planting them on your farm during Spring. Buy seeds from Carol's Florist Shop.

Once you have enough materials, repair Doc’s architects first. The next day, if you bring the broken third tablet to his home, he will borrow it for research.

Get a Fishing Rod from Cyril
